School’s out, summer’s here and Monk Park Farm is the place to be! We are delighted to say that we’ll be open EVERY DAY throughout the holidays with a range of fun activities on offer for all the family – including some brilliant new attractions! Make sure not to miss the daily foam parties, pig racing and guinea pig ‘fishing’, as well as the chance to feed the farm’s latest additions – four gorgeous adopted calves.

Sheep snuggling with the farm’s cute and curly Valais Blacknose lambs was introduced earlier this year and has been so popular it will continue through the summer. And if you head down to the fields and outdoor pens you’ll be able to get up close to a range of farm animals and rare breeds including wallabies, alpacas, goats, deer and Highland cows. Just don’t forget to grab your animal feed at the shop beforehand!

‘Yorkshire Vet’ book signing

And, in a one-day special event, visitors to the farm will be able to meet ‘The Yorkshire Vet’ Peter Wright. Peter is a friend of ours and has been our vet at Monk Park Farm for a long time – he also officially opened our revamped site after new owners took over in 2021 (see video below). Peter will be joining us between 11am and 12.30pm on Sunday, July 30th, to sign copies of his new book, The Tales and Tails of a Yorkshire vet. Normal admission applies and copies of the book will be available to purchase for £20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etSAXz0G4xc
