Audio Description Coming Soon

The Mangalica is a Hungarian breed of domestic pig.

The breed has a very distinctive curly coat and can often be confused with sheep. They are the only pig to have a long, curly coat.

Mangalica come in three colours: blonde, red and swallow-bellied.

They are a relatively small breed of pig and are related to wild boars.

Female pigs are called ‘Sows’, male are called ‘Boars’ and young are called ‘Piglets’.

Pigs are pregnant for 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days.

They love to eat everything they can find hence why it looks like their field has been ploughed. As well as foraging for food, they also eat fresh vegetables and nutritious pig pellets.
