Here’s what some of last years visitors had to say…

Dec, 2025

We have just taken our child to see Santa for the second year in a row and I can confirm we will be back next year!

Absolutely incredible!

Last year was amazing but this year was even better.

Worth every penny.

This is the first time we’ve visited the farm and we were not disappointed. We’ve done a lot (I’d say 99% of all offerings) of Christmas activities in the north-east over the years and this is easily one of the best we’ve done!

From the very start it was amazing, with the elves fully playing their parts to perfection. It was literally one thoughtful activity/show after another. Considering it literally leathered down for the entire day it didn’t put a dampener on anything as it was all inside and warm.

Dec, 2025

We’ve been doing christmas/ Santa visits for 9 years. This is the best one we’ve ever been to. Took our 9 and nearly 2 year old and both of them were entertained for nearly a full day. I was initially put off by the price but realistically there is so much more included than anywhere else we’ve been to, it was easily worth it. It was also torrential rain all afternoon but that didn’t stop anything! Really lovely experience for a big age range and it felt spread out enough and well managed so no where felt too crowded or busy. Will recommend to anyone who will listen!

Nov, 2025

We had the best Christmas experience at Monk Park Farm. We thought everything was well thought out and that a lot of effort had went into making everyone’s day special.

The elves especially were super with the children, can’t recommend enough to get into the festive spirit!

Had a fabulous day. The whole experience was very well organised and there were lots of activities to keep the children busy and entertained.

Would highly recommend going here for a day out – particularly the festive experience.

Who needs a ticket?

Everybody attending the Christmas Experience will require a ticket including Adults and Children under 1

Is the £50 Buy Now, Sleigh Later deposit per person or per booking?

You only need to add 1 Buy Now, Sleigh Later deposit to your basket. The £50 deposit secures your chosen date and time slot.

Once you’ve added the deposit, you can then select how many adults, children and under-1s will be attending. Just make sure you check the ticket prices for your chosen date, as this will determine the balance you’ll owe later.

At the beginning of October, we’ll email a payment link to the email address used when booking. The remaining balance (minus your £50 deposit) must then be paid by 31st October 2026.

What age is the Christmas Experience Suitable for?

The Christmas Experience is designed for everyone to enjoy – children and grown-ups alike!

Do adults need to pay to for the Father Christmas Experience?

Yes, all adults are required to purchase a ticket. The experience is designed for the whole family, and many visitors tell us the grown-ups enjoy the magic just as much as the children!

Do I need to pay for a baby?

Yes all children will need a ticket, the under 1 price will cover the cost of the gift that Santa will give when in the grotto – Santa can’t be seen to not give any child a gift. The cost of the tickets pays for the gift.

What are Kringles

Kringles are a special currency used here at the North Pole!

You can use your Kringles throughout your visit to purchase festive treats, gifts, marshmallow toasting, hot chocolates and more from locations across the farm, including Snowflake Square.

Each Kringle is worth £1 and can be purchased in advance or on the day of your visit. Don’t worry if you don’t spend them all – we’ll happily exchange any unused Kringles back at the end of your visit if you wish.

We also accept credit and debit cards throughout the farm.

Can we pet the Animals?

During the Christmas Experience, we won’t have any petting activities running, but you can still purchase animal food to feed the barn animals.

How do I tell Santa what my Child wants for Christmas?

When you book your tickets, there will be fields to fill in with questions about your child so Santa knows their wishes. Please ensure this information is accurately provided.

Do we offer SEN Sessions?

We don’t run specific SEN-only sessions, however the Christmas Experience at Monk Park Farm has been designed to be inclusive and accessible for everyone. Each family enjoys a private visit with Santa, and capacity is carefully managed so activities aren’t too crowded or overwhelming. Experiences are spread throughout the farm to allow plenty of space, and for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere, the earliest and latest time slots in the day tend to be the calmest.

Do you offer free carer tickets for The Great Yorkshire Christmas?

For standard farm admission and most special events, we are pleased to offer complimentary Essential Companion tickets. However, The Great Yorkshire Christmas is a premium, capacity-controlled event, so free Essential Companion tickets are not available.

As every guest attending takes part in the experience and occupies one of the limited spaces available, Essential Companion tickets are instead discounted by the value of our standard farm admission ticket (£12.45). The remaining ticket cost covers the Christmas activities, experiences and gifts included within The Great Yorkshire Christmas.

A valid Nimbus Access Card or Monk Park Farm Nimbus Registered ID showing the +1 symbol must be presented on arrival, and the ID number must be entered at checkout when booking online.

Failure to produce valid supporting ID on arrival will result in the full admission price being charged.

What is Build a Bear and is it included?

Children will visit Pudding’s Teddy Workshop, where they’ll create their very own Pudding the Penguin teddy to take home and treasure as a special reminder of their magical North Pole adventure.

Want to make Pudding extra special? A range of outfits will be available to purchase in advance or on the day, allowing children to personalise their new festive friend.

Please note: Pudding the Penguin is included for full-paying child tickets only and is not included with Under 1 tickets.

Please note that cancellations made within 24 hours of the event do not qualify for a credit voucher.

The Great Yorkshire Christmas is designed to be a magical journey that unfolds at a relaxed pace. Most families spend around 2.5 to 3 hours enjoying all the festive activities, but you’re welcome to linger a little longer to explore the animals, play areas, and café before heading home.

What if we are late?
If you arrive late for your time slot at Monk Park Farm, we may not be able to accommodate you for a later slot. Be sure to check traffic conditions before you travel and plan to arrive 15 minutes before your admission time to avoid any issues during the event.
