New Barn & Toilet Block Update! 🚧

Things are moving along nicely with the new barn and toilet facilities and we’re especially excited to share that this much-needed update is really starting to take shape!

The new toilet block has been designed with families and accessibility in mind. It will feature five unisex cubicles to help reduce waiting times, plus a large communal handwashing area. There’ll also be a fully accessible toilet with adult and child changing facilities, as well as a private space that can be used for breastfeeding. And for quick pit stops, we’re adding a small urinal area lovingly nicknamed “The Little Boys’ Room.”

As for the barn, it’s a beautiful building and it’s coming on brilliantly. The entire outer area has now been concreted, creating a huge space that’s ready to welcome our larger animals indoors over the winter months. Farmer Mark and Lauren have been out there daily, chalking out where the pens and handwash stations should go… and changing their minds more than once! There’s been lots of measuring and re-measuring to make sure we get it just right.

The barn will feature big custom-made doors at the ends of each pen to make access easy for our larger residents — including llamas, alpacas, cows, sheep, and goats. Each pen will be twice the size of what they’re used to, so we can bring them in during the colder months, give the paddocks a well-earned rest, and continue offering the best possible care.

At the back of the barn, there’ll also be a dedicated feed store and a flexible space perfect for seasonal activities and events.

We can’t wait to share more soon on our new barn and toilet facilities — watch this space!
