There’s one job every farm dreads at this time of year… TB testing! 🙈
As a farm attraction, all of our cattle undergo annual TB testing as part of our commitment to animal health and welfare. It means gathering the whole herd together and carefully guiding them through the cattle crush so they can be tested by the vet.
The test takes place in two stages, with the first part carried out earlier this week. We have to admit, we were a little nervous… but we couldn’t have been proud of our Highland cows. They were incredibly calm, patient and so well behaved throughout the whole process!
After returning for the second part of the test, we’re delighted to share that every single one of our cows has officially passed. 🎉
Routine TB testing plays an important role in protecting the health of cattle, and we’re incredibly proud of both our animals and the team who work so hard to look after them.
And that’s not the only exciting news…
Now that the testing is complete, we’re getting ready to start a brand-new adventure with some of our cows. We’re keeping the details under wraps for now, but trust us—it’s something we’ve been looking forward to sharing!
