Last year, we were lucky enough to welcome a wonderful group of alpacas to Monk Park Farm. A lovely lady had bought a house, and the alpacas came with it. She decided to find them a great new home, and we were thrilled to be that home!
The male alpacas were entire, and in order to keep them at the farm, we needed to get them castrated. We decided to wait until winter to get the job done. We were joined by the king of castration, Peter Wright, and Vet Hannah to help with the procedure.
Thanks to Jonathan’s amazing shearing table, everything went smoothly and was a lot easier than expected! We’re so happy to have the alpacas settled in and enjoying their new home here at Monk Park Farm.
