Christmas Experience on the Farm

We are pleased to announce that Father Christmas and his team of Farm Elves will be visiting the Farm this year to help you get into the festive spirit. As well as the usual farm activities there will be many more for this merry occasion.

You might think that Father Christmas is far too busy to call into Monk Park Farm this year, but you’d be wrong! Father Christmas is a big fan of farms (we’re his favourite) and he loves coming to spread the festive cheer!

On arrival at the farm, you will be greeted by our friendly farm elves who will guide you on your joyful experience.

Festive Activities

In the petting barn the farm elves are hard at work looking after the animals. They will even teach you to make your very own reindeer food that you can sprinkle out for deer on your winter walk.

The festive activities continue as guests can join Mrs Claus for some creative Christmas crafts. Get into the festive spirit in Mrs Claus Kitchen, located in the Hungry Monk Café. You can also write a letter to Father Christmas, check if you are on the naughty or nice list and warm up with a lovely mince pie.

Journey through a winter wonderland in search of Father Christmas’ grotto to meet the merry man himself. Listen to his amazing story telling and be sure to tell him all your Christmas wishes.

Spreading the Joy of Christmas

Make sure to get your token from Father Christmas that you use in the elves toy store and sweet shop. Choose your very own gift from a special selection of toys made by Mr Claus and his elves.

The real gift of Christmas is the joy of coming together to celebrate the festive season and we hope that you have a very merry time here at Monk Park Farm!

Please note, General Farm Admission tickets allow you to see the farm in all its festive glory. If you would like your child to visit Father Christmas, you will need to book the Father Christmas Experience.

Sensory Friendly Sessions for children and adults with SEND

We will be running SEND friendly sessions to meet Santa in the grotto every day when the Park is generally quieter. (Although your tickets give you access to the Park all day)

FAQs / T&Cs and things to note…

Pre-booking

Pre-booking in advance is strongly recommended as we anticipate that our Christmas Experience will sell out!

Grotto Experience

The Grotto is organised in small groups with no more than 10 children in each group. Father Christmas will be sharing stories and engaging with the children. The experience will feel very personal, as Father Christmas will address each child individually. Children and families are welcome to have their own individual pictures taken.

Grotto Allocated Time Slots

The time chosen during booking will mark the beginning of your Grotto experience. Please note that this is not the time to meet Father Christmas; that will occur after the start of the experience. It’s crucial for visitors to arrive 10–15 minutes prior to their allocated time slot. Please be aware that late arrivals may be requested to return at an alternative time.

Who is the Grotto aimed towards?

The Father Christmas Experience is designed for children aged 12 months to 12 years, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. We have allocated special times for a more relaxed Christmas session, especially for children and adults with SEND who may not enjoy the busier Christmas experience.

Where does the Grotto take place?

The Father Christmas Experience takes place inside a heated marquee, but we still recommend dressing warmly.

Do adults need to pay to for the Father Christmas Experience?

Yes, adults are required to purchase a General Farm Admission ticket if they would like their child to visit Father Christmas.

Can season ticket holders use their pass for this event?

No, season tickets are not valid for our Christmas Experience.

General Farm Admission

Guests will be welcome to attend Monk Park Farm from the time of opening, until our close, as part of their booking, 10:00 – 18:00.

Will the usual farm activities still be on?

The farm will be operating as usual, with a festive touch to everything. Please note that not all play equipment will be accessible due to the winter weather. Exploring the farm may be limited because of weather conditions.

How do I tell Father Christmas what my Child wants for Christmas?

On arrival you will be asked to leave Father Christmas some information about your child. Including their Name, Date of Birth and some General Information about them. Our elves will pass this information onto Father Christmas so your child can have a truly personalised Christmas.
