Farm visits are considered safe during pregnancy. However, certain infections carried by farm animals can pose a risk, particularly during lambing season.

To help you stay safe and feel comfortable during your visit, please follow the guidance below.

⚠️ Important Advice
  •  Avoid close contact with lambs, sheep and goats
  •  Do not handle newborn animals or birthing materials
  •  Avoid areas where animals have recently given birth
  •  Do not touch animal bedding or waste

🧼 Hygiene
  •  Wash hands thoroughly and regularly
  •  Avoid touching your face while around animals
  •  Only eat in designated areas

If you have any concerns before your visit, we recommend speaking with your GP or midwife.

These simple precautions are in place so you can relax and enjoy your time at the farm with confidence 💛
