The Valais Blacknose sheep had their big winter makeover today!
Our fluffiest residents enjoyed a well-deserved pamper session as their thick coats were carefully trimmed back. Although these “teddy bear” sheep are famous for their woolly, cloud-like fluff, regular shearing is actually really important even in the colder months.
A winter haircut helps keep them comfortable, reduces matting, and makes sure they stay in the best condition throughout the season. They all handled it brilliantly and are now looking extra smart and ready for the festive period.
If you spot them out in the paddocks during your visit, give them a wave, they’re feeling fabulous after their fresh trim!
