πŸ‘ Moving Day for Our Pregnant Ewes πŸ‘

It’s a busy and important time here at Monk Park Farm as our pregnant ewes begin their move into the Animal Barn in preparation for lambing.

Bringing the ewes indoors allows us to provide a warm, calm, and closely monitored environment as they get closer to giving birth. Our experienced farmers can keep a careful eye on each mum-to-be, ensuring they’re comfortable, settled, and supported every step of the way.

Why do we move ewes indoors before lambing?
  • It helps protect them from cold, wet and unpredictable weather

  • Farmers can spot early signs of labour more easily

  • A calm, sheltered space helps mums feel safe and relaxed

  • Close monitoring means quick support if an ewe needs a helping hand

This stage is one of the most important parts of lambing preparation and a really special time on the farm, busy, rewarding, and full of anticipation as we wait to welcome our new arrivals.
